Privacy
ZoneIQ keeps only what the game needs to work: an anonymous game ID, your game results, a public name, and a scrambled network fingerprint for fair play. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is sold.
Who we are
ZoneIQ (zoneiq.games) is run by Prabhav Bansal. For anything about your data, email prabhav.bansal.27@gmail.com.
What we store and why
| What | Why |
|---|---|
A game ID cookie (fc_aid): a random identifier, first-party only, kept for one year and renewed while you play | Remembers your progress, your one attempt per daily, your streak and your place on the leaderboard. |
| Your game results: where you placed each pin, scores, hints used, round times | Scoring, results, your Zone IQ percentile and the leaderboards. |
| Your public name: generated for you (like “QuietFalcon482”) or one you choose | Shown on the public leaderboards next to your rank and score. |
| A network fingerprint: a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (for IPv6, of your network block). The IP address itself is never stored. | Fair play: spotting when a second identity on the same network plays today's daily first to see the answers. Also used to limit repeat votes on the "coming soon" waitlist. |
Sound settings (fc_muted, fc_music) in your browser's local storage | Remembers whether you turned sound or music off. This never leaves your device. |
That's everything. We don't ask for your email, real name or any account, we don't use advertising or third-party analytics, and we don't sell or share your data for marketing.
Cookies
ZoneIQ uses one cookie, fc_aid, and it is strictly necessary: without it the game can't keep your progress or your one attempt per daily. That is why there is no cookie banner. If we ever add analytics or ads, we will ask for your consent first.
Fair-play checks
When you finish a daily, the game checks it automatically for signs of play with the answers already known: the network fingerprint above, several near-perfect rounds, or a near-perfect answer locked within seconds. A flagged run is hidden from the public leaderboards until a person reviews it; you still see your own results and percentile, and your row is marked "under review". Nothing is decided about you automatically beyond that. If you think a run was flagged wrongly, email us.
Who else handles the data
- Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host it processes your IP address to deliver pages and keeps short-lived request logs.
- Neon hosts the database (servers in Singapore) where game data is stored.
- Cloudflare answers DNS lookups for the domain. It doesn't see your game traffic.
Match data comes from PUBG's official Developer API. It describes past matches (the safe-zone circles); ZoneIQ doesn't store the PUBG players from those matches.
How long we keep it
Game data and names are kept for as long as ZoneIQ runs, so leaderboards and streaks stay accurate, unless you ask us to delete them. The cookie expires a year after your last visit.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the data linked to your game ID, or to remove your name from the leaderboards. Email prabhav.bansal.27@gmail.com. Because there are no accounts, we'll ask you to confirm it's you, for example by telling us your current name and a recent score, so nobody can delete someone else's results. You can also change your name yourself at any time (once a day), and clearing your browser's cookies starts you fresh.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU or UK under the GDPR, or India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act) you may also have the right to object, to restrict processing and to complain to your data protection authority. We rely on providing the game you asked to play, and on our legitimate interest in fair play, as the reasons for processing.
Children
ZoneIQ is not meant for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has played, email us and we will delete their data.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live. See also the Terms.
